Cathy is ...That's a great analysis of the film. Cathy is a victim of Whit, but she is evil because of how she chooses to respond. I like your statement about her: "When dressed in white, she avoids the appearance of impropriety with ease." Cathy is a bad girl who looks like a good girl, and this causes Whit and Jeff to underestimate her. I wrote a short essay on the film called "The Femme Fatale."
